Basically I have bronchitis and find breathing in the cold a little too strenuous to be bothered!...not bothered to breathe just bothered to do any adventures...silly! Of course as soon as I say this we bump into Gary and Bart who we have said we would do the 5 day Sala D Uynni - Salt Flats 4WD expedition with on Monday and they have a fantastic 2 day horseriding trek planned and want to know if we are keen too.
The area down here is like the desert...cactus...red rocks ...mountians...dry river beds and stunning colours....I am tempted to say yes but a coughing attack reminds me that we will be doing the Salt Flats for 5 days in minus 20 degrees...YEP MINUS 20....and that I need to be a bit more over this chest infection ...so I feebly decline....anyway tomorrow is market day here in town and who doesnīt like shopping over horses and dust anyday!!!?? :o)....Frey is going, I think whe is sick of listening to me cough all night, on the ride which is great it means I will see the fantastic pics and know excatly what I missed!!

! hmmm....a bit jealous!!!...market day, market day, market day!!!!! ahh feel better now!I am actually quite happy to stay in town with my hot showers, 3-4 blankets on my bed and markets.... I have alot of things to do and plan before we head out to nowhere for 5 days!! Like the amazon jungle part of our trip!! So I am happy organising stuff and buying llama wool clothes to hopefully keep warm on the flats...I dont think Llamas died for my mittens, hat and scarves so they are having a good day too!!! :o)...better than yesterday for them anyway!!! *shrug. Oh and I have bought rum...bcos if you cant sleep for freezing you might as well not know about it!!!
I love this town and will just continue to absorb myself in it....and take my antibiotics!!! Pizza and TV for me tonight...oh how cultural...oh and I might even read a book tomorrow...I havent read one since Colombia and the beach so it seems...what kind of holiday am I on!!? jeez.....
Any way there will probably be no photos for this place as I havenīt been a tourist so much as an interloper into this lifestyle in this lovely little town.
Tomorrow we head out to the Salt Lakes for a 4WD expedition for 5 days so Layla I hope your wedding day was wonderful...and Jo & Primrose happy birthday for the 4th...we will be out of contact till Saturday!!
