A brilliant start to the Easter long weekend, managed to get everything done at the office on my final day of work and was rewarded with two awesome prezzies from my work friends/colleagues & the company....the first is a new camera so the pics on this journey should be amazing and the second a gorgeous Pandora bracelet!!! I LOVE THEM BOTH!!! Thank you! xx

With my loot in hand and sound of the shredder a distant memory...hmmm did I say that out aloud?... I headed to Royal Palms on Seven Mile Beach for the usual Thursday night beach walk with Joanna....our last one!!! :o( Rachael was an added bonus attendee for the evening so off we went sun blazing and water lapping at our feet....the walk is to Calicos Jacks and back, about 6kms but we never notice as there is always so much chatter that we are there and back before we know it...

Jo, bless her, had a surprise for me when we got back to Royal Palms....a chilled bottle of champagne and tapas platters....we were looking very posh sitting up at the bar with our champers glass's and our beach gear on and no shoes!! *smile*....I think Rach thought this might have been the norm for Thursdays!!! *grin* You chose a good night to come on down Rachy!!

The band started playing, the chatting never stopped and we were there till nearly closing time...Rach had some dance moves going...Jo and I had a singalong and we were a happy lot that rolled out of there. Rach thought it was a pretty good night considering she left home with no shoes and $5 in her pocket at 5pm....and managed to stay out and play till 1 am and still go home with her fiver and a pair of my flipflops on!!! :o) Thursdays always have a mind of their own down here in Cayman!! *grin*

Today had a lot different pace....started with a sore head....and a huge list of chores to do to get my butt out of here next Tuesday....unfortunately very few of them got done...I spent most of the day lazing around.....absorbing the final ambiance of my room....finally at about 7pm I got motivated to start moving and packing stuff....well with a little help from my friend Layla....she has become the master of the vac she shrunk all my stuff and we managed to get loads looks like a bomb has hit it...but then when didn't it!?

Tomorrow will be another huge day of lunch with the girls at Calypso Grill in Morgan's Harbour on the water and then the guys bringing the boat to collect us about 5 we will spend the rest of the evening out on the North Sound playing at the sandbar!! I sense the beginnings of another sore head....oh boy!!

Ahhhh I LOVE my girlfriends they are the BEST!!!....we had decided that taxi was the way to go...that way we could all enjoy a few bubbles and then get picked up by boat from the pick up time was 12.30 so I was all ready to go when Georgie called and said come roadside to be picked up they would be there in a minute...
they were..... in a HUGE stretch limo....tehe!!! Guess I am going out in style!..*grin* was brand new and gorgeous,,,we cruised around for an hour or so... checking the sights and drinking champers and giggling!!...perfect way to start our afternoon of indulgence.

Lunch was fantastic as always at Calypso and many more bottles of bubbles were consumed...Russ and the guys arrived at 5 on his boat to get us and we were whisked to the other side of the North Sound for drinks at Kaibo ... ... a really nice way to spend sunset, on picnic benches at the waters edge on the beach palm trees swaying gently!!! Nice visual huh...

Eventually it was time to leave and we went back to Russ and Georgies.... The ladies headed up to the balcony to watch the "men" perform night waterskiing....up and back in front of the house...the boats spotlight glowing on the skier....some were successful ...others not so!!! You know who you are!! :o)... I stayed dry for the whole day so I am happy!

All in all a brilliant end to a perfect day! Thank again ladies !!!..and a special thank you to Russ for the Limo and boat ride, Raz for the great convos at Kaibo and Baz for the midnight waterskiing show!!! :o)

Sunday spent packing AGAIN!!!! Where did I acquire all this stuff from???

Tomorrow my last day!!...oh dear...the plan....breakfast at 10am with friends......time is ticking away much faster now.....:o( Bugger!!

I realise AS the end comes closer the new beginning does too!!!!....Hard to believe that tomorrow I will be wishing I leant more Spanish!!!

I have packed my backpack!!!!!....thank god I have been going to the gym is full full full.....I am surprised at how bad I STILL am at packing too much...after 10 years of doing this you would think I could skimp a little better ...but truth secretly be known I would love to be traveling with a slew of suitcases...This trip for the next 4 months has such a varied weather and climate change that 2 bikinis and a coupla sarongs isn't going to cut it at -5 degrees!!!!...So I have to pack for cold in a city...warm on the Carib coast... freezing in the mountains..... bikini for sailing, plus thermals and coats & gloves, scarves, rain gear...climbing/treking gear....ahhhhh....where is my porter!!!?? The only part that is easy to pack for is the sailing...I don't even remember when I last wore coats and gloves vacations are usually about how tanned I can get...what was I thinking!!!!?

The rest of today was a succession of breakfast, lunch and dinner with friends...with more packing inbetween....damn packing!!!!...anyway the final goodbyes were said to my home of 5 years someone might have noticed the tears in my eyes if it wasn't bloody flooding outside...the rain was teaming down and very everything I was carting to the car for the drive to Georgies....where I will spend my last night on the island.... got wet.....I managed to drop my pack in about 5 inches of water and so when I arrived at G's I was unpacking and throwing everything in the dryer....*sigh!!!...and I haven't even started yet!!

Anyway everything in the world is good and calm again ...the rain has bags are repacked...Georgie cooked lamb for dinner and my bed is made and I have a feather pillow to sleep on.....BRING ON COLOMBIA!!!!! :o)
