Mmmm.....its a city, just another city

The journey to Peurto Montt was largely uninteresting, the bus we got was a local one. Cheap but a pain in the arse as we stopped in every dodgy little town going, most run down though only as much as england was about ten years ago!! Once we arrived there it looked, compared to what we were used to, a complete dump. And we had the problem of having to find somewhere to stay, fortunately on this rare occasion on consulting lonely planet it came up trumps and found us a fairly nice room overlooking the ocean. Next on the agenda was lunch, we´d been up early so hadnt had time for breakfast and were famished. Walking down the main street we found loads of places but they were all serving local food that we had absolutely no idea wot it was. Fortunately we found a cool wild west style burger bar where we could get Schop and fries very cheaply, and also tonnes of sauce which kept amy happy! We then messed around for ages playing games, undoubtable i was whipping amys arse cos i always do until it was dinner time. We wandered around for ages exploring the city and looking for somewhere to eat. The port was kinda interesting, though the south american obsession with old trains was obvious as there were several on the shore. The main plaza also was cool with live music. I wasnt seeing anything i fancied for dinner, it was kinda hard following the superb world class food we were eating in pucon to pay anything near the same for local stuff. I decided the food court was the only place to go....... itsa incredible out here, all the local fast food joints serve beer as part of therte combo menus! I knew amy had had her heart on a schoperia so we went in one, besides i liked the idea of steak and eggs. Ames had weird mini hot dog kebabs and i had me steak, that with two beers only came to a fiver......not bad hey!! We went to bed very happy and full......tho we were already missing the luxeryof northern chile!!!!!
