Me and my truck!!!!

We were unsure how far it was to get to Atlanta so the plan was to get up early, say goodbye to the beach and hit the road. Only the Chevy had other ideas..... it wouldnt start, the engine was completly dead. Even after we got the rangers to help us and jump start the engine it still only had drive and no acceleration. And as much as i drove it around 10mph ws all it was gonna do! So after many long conversations on the phone with enterprise they agreed to replace it. So it was just a waiting game. We waited for them to send a guy to tow it. He turned up in a knackered old truck with a smashed windscreen and only one passenger seat so i had to seat precariously over the engine as he drove us at 70mph to the nearest rental place. Was kinda dangerous. Once there he dumped us at the roadside with our stuff everywhere. I went inside to find out about the replacement to discover that there wasnt one ready and we[d have to wait whilst they sorted it. In total it delayed us by about six hours. Most of that time we were sat littering the foyer of a top resort with bags everywhere. When the car finally arrived turned out to be a brand new nissan titan, with V8 engine. It was gonna be a fun drive back to Atlanta!
Id driven a lot of vehicles but nothing this big, amy couldnt even get in it. We sorted ourselves a very late brekkie from Hardies and then just drove through the middle of nowhere. Couldnt even find a garage that had any soda was that backward! We did pass through one small town that had some cool buildings but only the one and i cant remember anything about it except it was somewhere in Alabama.
Eventually drew near to where we planned to camp for the night when we were rudely interrupted by an extreme storms weather forecast on the truck starerio, undetured we headed on stopping at the FDR state park. Was very pretty with a little lake and a humungous campsite. We decided not to camp as the weather was very poor tho not looking dangerous. We headed out for food at the nearest KFC and then did our laundry and played cards and drank JD outside the toilet block. We then set up for the night....ie slept in our truck!!!

We did a runner the following morning giving englishman everywhere a bad name!!
Then drove to Atlanta, did some shoppìng, sat and chatted to Paul who kindly offered to ferry us around, posted some mail, took the truck back where the retards couldnt bill me, tried to book a hotel, tried to look after Jillian, got dropped off and then chased our bags all the way to Dallas on the greyhound!!!!!
