Had a ridiculously early start in order to begin our east coast adventures. Had to get up at 5am! Now that is just wrong!!
Fortunately it was easy to get to airport, we just got reception to call a cab and there it was! Got our flight no probs...it was a little late getting in but we were only delayed about 20 mins and whats that?? Flight was a little turbulent...but when you are engrossed in Mission Impossible 3, you don't even notice...Only about a 4 hour flight.
Problem was we were suddenly ahead 4 hours! We hadn't eaten since breaky and that was only cookies! So by the time we arrived at 1pmish our time - 4pm here...we were starving!
Made our way to hostel, by bus and tube...saving masses...as we had been recommended to take shuttle which was way expensive! Not good carrying pack for 1hr 30mins but still...got to save those pennies!
Checked into hostel and headed straight for food! Got very cheap end of day chinese from food court....but needed more...so after wandering for a while checking out the area...we got huge pieces of pizza! A girls gotta eat!
Back at hostel we were knackered and managed to stay awake till 10pm, which was only 7pm our time...then hit the sack. Toronto seems pretty cool.

We woke late...just in time for free pancakes in hostel though! Then we headed out. We had a trail of historic places and parks we wanted to follow, only prob was we had our future travel plans on our mind! So we keep getting distracted from the trail. Got to see a few cool old buildings...including the only brick built house still here, which they moved some time ago?? Then we spent ages trying to sort out car rental to go to Niagra...problem is its Labour Day weekend! Gave up on the car thing...too expensive...or shut! Opted for greyhound instead...went to book.
By the time we had all this sorted it was way past lunch, so we decided to check out the hotdog stands that are everywhere...it seems to be the thing to do! (I am in charge of the budget today...as a treat...because i have forgotten what money is! Neil has all the money!) Hotdogs were great and fantastic value...plus you could have loads of 'gunk' (as Neil calls it) on them.
We tried to find the trail again...but had well and truly lost it...it was badly signposted to begin with! So gave up and just wandered!
The place has some cool old buildings...and some real history...which is cool! I like the place...it is 'real'. Big city...but fun too!
Found a groovy market, where we bought 'real' meat. When i'm in charge of money it goes a long way!!!! Not quite as far as the biggest shrimps ever!
Checked out the CN tower, pretty cool i guess...but a rip-off to go up to the top of it - so guess what... we didn't!
Chilled in hostel - oh its nice to chill! Had to get us and our clothes clean...and eat dinner before it was time for the cinema! Yes we do get to do cool stuff! (apparantly Neil was nice to me by allowing me the full $50 budget!! I only spent $20 though, cause i don't reckon the cinema counts!!) Went to see Superman at the Imax! Was way cool and learnt something we didn't know...that imax was invented in Canada! (or so they claim!) It is definately a cool experience...only problem is i want to go again to see dancing feet (its got penguins in it...really cool ones...and the preview was really cool...not sure they have imax in SA!)
A tip by the way, don't go to a cinema in North america in shorts and t-shirt...cause its bloody freezing!
