After three days of driving and walking and on waking looking out of the window to see the dull overcast morning, i took the decision to have a leisurely day, the weather forecast (not that i believe them anymore), suggested that it would brighten up after lunch, so i decided not to rush.

Arriving at the sanctuary following a drive which was mostly through single lane country road which was interested at times. The admissions keeper gave a talk telling us that we were not visiting a zoo and it was most definitely a sanctuary. It was a small santuary which had an enclosure about the size of the mokey enclosures id seen at London and Colchester Zoo's, the difference being that these were rescue monkeys, which were recovered mostly from pet owners who were not able to look after them anymore.

Although the sanctuary was small in size  i was mesmerised by the monkeys for nearly two hours, a keeper then appeared and gave a talk about the sanctuary and the monkeys in it, as well as showing us the monkeys which had not been integrated into the group yet.

After looking round the sanctuary i stopped for lunch in the sanctuary tree top cafe, which was very nice as the sun had come out by that point, i ordered the chilli which i didnt realise until it was delivered was vegetarian, it had chickpeas, carrots and corgette in it, but actually it was great and i may have to cook it myself.

A leisurely drive back through the country roads and the adventure was over, i had a short nap and then took a stroll before heading back to the local haunt for dinner.
