We tried to do the tour again but this time, even though there were enough people, powerscourt house (the main attraction on the tour) was closed due to icy paths so we ended up catching the dart (fancy term for train) out to malahide and went to see the malahide castle. It was a bit drizzly but it was the perfect weather to be walking through the forest path out to the castle. It was really good, it has "the finest example of timber wall panels in Ireland". the gardens were closed because it was winter but rach and i had a great time at the adjacent playground! We walked through the town and headed out to see the beach. It was pretty lame, couldn't even swim in it because of the currents, but it was nice to see some waves again! We had a late lunch there before catching the train back. The last new person had arrived in the apartment which meant that there was no longer room for us there, so we jumped on and got a bargain hotel room in the city, which even though we only booked twin share it has 4 beds in it so shankari and Alana are coming over tomorrow night for a slumber party! So it all worked out for the best!
