We got a sleep in on the last morning and didn't have to be at the bus until 9am, bonus! Our first stop was at loch leven and the macdonald clan’s isle of the dead, couldn’t get close enough to see much but the lake was pretty. We were driving through some snowy mountains and there was really cool looking mist lying low in the valley so we stopped for some more photos, it looked amazing, when we drove into the mist everything was so white and barren that it looked like the moon! A bit further along the road we had a photo stop at the black mount estate aka sean’s loch because sean connery has a property near there. Next stop was to see the most photographed cow in Scotland... Hamish the hairy coo (simply translated to hairy cow!)fed him some parsnip, took about 40 photos, one of the girls gave him a scratch behind the ears which he’s obviously used to cause he bent his head so she could reach more! Then we drove through some pretty countryside onto the town of stirling, which was the location of another battle between the scots and the English. We went to a big monument on a hill to mr Wallace (forgot his first name!) who lead the scots in their defence against the English in the battle of stirling bridge. From stirling it was only an hour back to Edinburgh. We met some of the girls for dinner and i tried some haggis (not too bad, but i don’t know why everyone gets so excited about it!) but i missed out on trying the other famous scotish delicacy... deep fried mars bar!
