it was raining when i got to dublin, of course! the place i'm staying at is really nice, once i've tidied up my room a bit i'll take a photo of the inside! my housemates are... alana (22 - doesn't look a day over 20, uni of nsw, law), jen (20, connecticut, business), shankari (20, uni of nsw, international business), sabine (21, vienna, business), arine (21, bilbao spain, business) and our honorary roommates are daen (21, uni of qld, architecture, lives in the next building) and peter (sabine's boyfriend, lives in the apartment downstairs, vienne, physics). they're all so nice, i think i got pretty lucky cause i know daen's had some trouble with her roommates (i didn't know her at home, she's in 2nd year). a few of us went shopping on the first day for homewares and we've just been sharing everything so its worked out really well. the uni's quite nice, very concrety and the architecture department is a 30 minute brisk walk away but its still pretty good! there were some orientation events to get us all settled. the architecture people seem very nice, but i've got way to many hours at uni! i did a walking tour of dublin on my first weekend so it was good to see a bit of the city, but our guide left us early cause it was raining too much, bit weak coming from an irish person! i'm looking forward to finding some spare time to explore the city more cause i haven't had much so far!
