so i am making a concerted effort to write more often in my little blog here. the postings will be shorter i guess but a bit more numerous. is this a good thing? can you handle hearing from me more then once a month?  some would say no but i think I'm a blessing in disguise. then again i always have had a much higher opinion of myself then most others.  oh well

a coworker of mine had quite the new years celebration at a beach bar. apparently passed out drunk in one of the tents set up on the beach and then woke up in the morning with a lady boy in the tent with him. he swears he has no idea how he/she got in there with him but we are a bit skeptical on this matter. we are definitely looking out for a limp or a sign of tenderness in the bottom region. AMAZING THAILAND

Mimi has gone from a half balded, scabbie infested hound to a giant q-tip over the last few months. as you may recall, when i arrived back in Thailand from Alaska, the person watching her had disregarded any grooming or health concerns and she had lost most of her hair. not a great look for a shiatsu to say the least.  now that she has been washed and pampered for a few months she is unusually fluffy. now all i need is a groomer to keep all that fluff in check.

I'm considering maybe shifting into the office next season. i love diving but to be honest, the schedule i now have is not doing the relationship with my wife any favors. seeing her every 4 days is just not working out that well. the problem is that once you move into the office, there is really no going back into the water.  is working in an office something i really want? not really but we'll have to see.

i took a multiple hit over the last week with my football teams. first the bears miss the playoffs and fire their coach and the notre dame gets blown out in the championship game. i cant really be too upset about notre dame since they had an amazing season but i would have loved to see them at least make a game out of it.  now i have to wait until friggin September for football again. sigh

nothing too interesting going on over here. the high season is very high right now and I'm very busy diving. lots of cool animals underwater this year which is always nice. i have dived the similan islands about 2000 times but i still find new things, of course most of these new things are very small but small equals rare and rare is cool.  some of the wildlife underwater is surreal to the point that Picasso and Dahli would be hard up to top it. the thing that amazes me the most is that I'm a scuba instructor in tropical paradise and not one of my friends or family has decided to try scuba diving. this falls under the "what the fuck" heading

I am certified to dive although have not done much. My one claim to fame is diving in Palau. Scott and Chad are certified too. We all just can't get to where you are diving. Happy and healthy new year to you and Im.
