Incompetence drives me crazy
Dec 28, 2004
. The government has proved to be a joke because they let it get this far and then trying to appease these assholes gave in to all their demands and when that didnt work, were unable to break up a mob of bamboo wielding farmers. I mean they abandoned armored vehicles to a crowd that had nothing more then rocks and slingshots....i'm not kidding....abandoned their armored vehicles to an unruly, unarmed mob. crazy crazy shit going down here in thailand and to be truthful, i am tired of both sides at the moment.
once again my timing has been impeccable and i happened to catch the bus out of bangkok about 2 hours before all hell broke loose. the government gave a 6pm deadline and then at 7pm one of the main protest leaders happened to get shot in the head by a sniper....at 8pm my bus left for ko tao. so here i am on ko tao once again and it is dead. May and June are traditionally pretty slow but when you add the red shirt fiasco then you truly get a complete lack of tourists at the moment. bastards are scared of a little tear gas and buckshot. so with no work i'm not sure where i'm going to go to ride out this slow season but i'm open to suggestions.
i am uploading a couple of manta movies that i filmed myself. the photos i have put up are pretty cool but you have to see how graceful they are to fully appreciate them so here is my contribution. hope everyone is doing well and ready to enjoy a great summer
for those of you who have crawled into a hole and have not paid attention to the news over the last week or so, Thailand has gone fucking crazy once again and i dont think i would be too far from the truth if i said that they were precariously close to falling ito a civil war. it is absolutely fascinating to watch an entire society decivilize and become the most base versions of ourselves. A friend of mine has always described the thai's as "monkey's with guns" which seemed a bit unfair at the time but after watching the complete ineptness both from the protestors and the military i have to agree with that particular observation. The "red shirts" have proved ridiculous because no matter how many of their demands were met, they always came back with more and refused to stop their protest. it was seriously getting to the point of "ummm we want the prime minnister to go out in his underwear and ummmmm stand on one foot and then ummmmm howl at the moon. it will only be then that we will know the true nature of this puppet of a prime minister and that he is against democracy" so forth and so on
