upon arrival back into Thailand ninny decided to throw a fit about commitment and relationships and love and all that good shit that girls are known for. the problem was that she speaks 4 languages and when she gets emotional she uses them all. i feel somewhat slighted when she swears at me in German...being Jewish and all. things are a bit rocky but we'll see how they pan out. I'm going up to her village in a few days to meet the entire family so that should be a sure cure for any fights we've had LOL. i hope I'm in your prayers because I'm entering the outer circles of hell and i can smell barbecue
so lets see whats new and exciting here in my little world. I'm still not back on ko tao at the moment but will be heading there momentarily. the low season is in full swing so I'm not in much of a hurry since there isn't much work to be had and the diving conditions aren't that great. chad and i headed over to Cambodia for a few days and let me tell you something.....traveling inside of Cambodia can be an epic upon itself. the worst bit if you ask me is that there are no bridges on the drive from ko kong (border town) to sihanookville....so you have to get out of the mini bus you are riding and wait for this tiny rickety ass ferry to come and load like 4 cars at a time. while you are waiting for all this you are surrounded by squalor only seen in national geographics "the shitty pit of Africa" issue and if you drive through the south side of Chicago. the dirt is nasty, the children are swarming and disgusting and the smell....well some things are just better left unsaid i suppose. we hit sihanookville after a 6 hours journey covering about 80 miles. now this town is nice because its sleepy and quiet an you can score some really nice opium if the mood strikes you. well on our arrival day it was the beginning of a 3 day Cambodian holiday that was pretty much the end all be all of holidays. what do the Cambodians do for a holiday? well shit, its hot and you got the kids out of school...head to the beach. this place was packed to the gills with families...the beach was overflowing with little brown children...the ocean was black with inner tubes and again, little brown children. there was little to do but retreat and escape to the comforts of our little bungalows. all in all Cambodia was OK and i receive my new visa so all is well.
