well its been a little while since ive written in this thing so i figure its time for a bit of an update.  ive been working as a divemaster and i have discovered that many many people are complete idiots. im not going to get into specifics of it all because i would have to explain alot about diving first but to simply state.....before a dive i give a dive briefing to the customers, laying out the plan for the dive and some of the rules and common signals ill use underwater...ive found many of these people completely disregard this briefing once underwater and this leads to high stress for yours truly.  on an injury note....i was loading the boat in the morning which usually entails jumping between boats as they are parked on the dock.  well there was a larger then usual gap between two boats so i was using the railing of one boat to balance myself and as i made the big lean/jump the railing pulled out of the rotten wood and i fell head over heal into the bay, bashing my knee, shoulder and cutting my foot wide open.  im ok but my knee wasnt working at all for a few days and is still sore as hell right now.  on a happier front i have cuddled up with a new thai girlfriend who is pretty cool.  she just spent a month on ko tao with me but i had to leave for malaysia so she went back to bangkok until i get back in a few weeks.

so im in malaysia...kuala lumpur actually and am on my way to borneo tomorrow to go diving at a place called sipidan which is supposed to be spectacular.  never really saw myself going to borneo when i was a child but here i am.  strange life eh?  anyways, im on the road for the first time in a while so im sure ill keep this thing updated with new stories.
