My mom returned to DC with me from Las Vegas and will be staying for a couple of weeks.  Since it was my day off, we drove up to Johnstown to visit my aunt & uncle.  My uncle Matt had a doctor's appointment around noon, so mom and I had lunch at a bar, Murphy's.  Murphy's make the best wings in Johnstown and whenever I am in town I try to stop by for some.  I may be biased in my opinion because I went to grade school with the owner, Paul or that my great aunt use to be a waitress at the bar.  Paul was working the bar, today, so we were able to catch up on each other's lives over lunch.  Afterward we drove by Bishop McCort High School, my alma mater.  My mom sold the family home to the school after my dad passed.  It was a little sad to see that my childhood home has been leveled into a school parking lot.  Next, we visited my dad's grave.

My uncle Matt was at home when we stopped by.  My aunt Lydia was picking up my cousin's daughter (first cousin once removed?), April.  Uncle Matt and aunt Lydia will be babysitting the grandkids tonight.  Unfortunately, one of my cousins, Brian, had to leave before we arrived, but uncle Matt showed me the pictures from Brian's wedding while we waited for aunt Lydia and April to come home.  We did manage to see my other cousin, Matt, as he dropped off his son, Brandon, with the grandparents.  It was good to see everyone because I do not make it up to Johnstown anymore since my dad's passing and my mom moving away.
