When the band started playing, I saw the cutest thing...a boy and a girl about 2-3 years old started dancing on the dance floor.  I do not know whose children they were, but it was so adorable I had to take a picture.  My table was directly behind the Table of Honor.  Also seated on my table was Mike, Ross, Adrian, April and the singer, Kim, so it made for some pleasant conversation.  For some reason, Jimmy's table was way back in the corner.  The pavilion was open aired but due to the weather they were able to enclose part of the area with plastic covers and provided some heaters.  My table was next to one of those heaters...Nice!

Mike was thoroughly enjoying himself.  Before we finished the salad course, he urge Steve and Katie to kiss several times.  After the third tapping of the glass, a stare from Steve was a signal to cease and disses.  The couple was left alone to enjoy their first meal as husband and wife without further interrupts.  Instead of having the guest decide between steak and chicken, a piece of each was provided to all.  I was hungry and quickly devoured the meal.

Next on the agenda was a little slide presentation of pictures from Katie's and Steve's life apart and finally pictures of the couple together.  I looked over at Steve's mom and saw her wiping away some tears as some of Steve's childhood pictures were being shown.  From Steve's reaction I do not think he knew about this.  Katie must have clandestinely collected the pictures...too bad she did not contact Ross.  Throughout the weekend, Ross was showing some old pictures of Steve during the summers we would play volleyball in Roxbury Park.  There was one priceless photo of Steve, Mike, Ross and I all dressed up before going to a Johnstown tradition, the Charity Ball.  Charity Ball was an event in December where the town gathered at the local arena and celebrated the holidays with music and a lot of drinking...it brought back a lot of good memories.  The slide presentation also answered a lingering question I had about the dark blue and lite blue color scheme of the wedding.  Although they both live in North Carolina, I did not think either Steve or Katie were Tar heel fans.  Katie went to the University of Alabama for college.  Finally, I saw a picture of Katie and her sister Paige all decked out in Kentucky Blue...I am slow but I do eventually figure it out.

Next, was the toast  from Randy, the Best Man.  Randy has been fretting over this the entire day, but he did well and I believed he actually got Katie to tear up during part of the toast...Good job Randy.  The cutting of the cake was very civil without anyone getting cake smashed into their face.  The couple danced to Unforgettable and then danced with their parents before the dance floor was open to all.  The band was really good and I liked their selection of songs.  Gee, Steve's roommate from college, brought the house down with his rendition of the "sprinkler" and "lawn mower" on the dance floor.  They forgo-ed the tossing of the bouquet because I think there was only one single woman at the wedding, Laura.  Finally, we baded the couple farewell with send of with sparklers..
