The City of Halifax (est. 1841) is the capital of the province of Nova Scotia. The city is located on a peninsula and a long boardwalk along the wharf is a favorite attraction. We parked and took in the shops on the boardwalk. Now our big mistake - never leave a city on a peninsula at rush hour. After a very stressful drive, stop and go, we got out of town and on the shoreline road to Peggy's Cove.
With the sunny day, we stopped in Peggy's Cove and decided to eat dinner at the only place around, the Sou'Wester Restaurant. Here Dick did the lobster dinner. I ran in and out to catch the sunset which provided some great pictures. We called our host, Henk and Doreen and told them we would be late. upon arrival we exchanged our dutch family heritage. The Flying Dutchman was an appropriate name.
