This is my second sooty photo, taken about a month ago in sunny Innsbruck. Even though it was the 2nd day of summer (th photo is about a month old now) there was still snow on the peaks (which i was told was really rare), and it even snowed a bit whilst i was up there. Pretty sure the peak behind my wuverly puppet is Glungezer, which stands at about 2700m, so i must have been at about 2200m when it was taken. Not great by European alps standards, but pretty bloody good by australian standards methinks.

thanks to the Japanese couple who took the photo. They were so grateful for me finding them since they were lost. I dont think it occured to them that i was utterly lost too.

But anyways, Innsbruck is absolutely luvrly, and i have pretty much bored to death everyone i have spoken too since by telling them that. Thanks too Anna for recomending that i go there. The hike took me about 4 and a half hours, even though it should only have taken 3. That was pretty much because of the snow, and the fact that i didnt have any poles and am pretty uncordinated anyway, maning i fall over quite often, which if you look closly at some of the photos you will realize is a pretty bad thing to do since it was really steep, probably near 60 degrees or so. Also i wasnt wearing the right socks, so my feet were freezing. Poor me. Twas cool to see the Austrians hike tho, since they really dont have any need for paths (which are just for sucker tourists like myself) and instead just walk straight up and down the mountainside.
