Save a long email i will just highlight a few points from my trip to Whislter:
Vancouver is warm!
It was +9 at the airport. i was so pumped knowing i would be in summer weather in a little over a week.
Air Canada lost my bags!
Air Canada lost about half the flights baggage including mine, but being the second time on my trip this had happened it didnt phase me all that much - i had my carryon with all the essentials inc my snowjacket and pants
Snow in whistler
I got on to my bus to whistler - which was way overpriced, and arriving in Whistler (2 hours north of Vancouver) it was snowing heavier and harder than i had ever seen. The snow flakes were about the size of a 50c coin. That night we had around 30cm of snow but unfortunately i was not boarding the next day as i had wisely left it free in case i had to sort anything out...
During the time i was there we had more snow on the second night, and not too much for the middle of my time, and then 35cm for my last day! I am told it was the best day in two years there!
I also went tubing my last night in whistler. it was really fun racing down the hill under lights!
Catching up friends
I stayed with my great friend Ellyse Andrew who was working in whistler. I was in the staff accomodation which was in a ski in-ski out location! So good. We had a great time hanging out there.
I also caught up with the Koblers who were there on holidays and Bec Hanniford who was working there. Also one of my mates from UNSW was there too and we loaded up on sushi one night (which cost a fortune).
Leaving for Home
It only struck me when i was sitting at the airport that my trip was pretty much over. Up until that point i was pumped to be going home and then i had my doubts. Then again i was looking forward to surprising my parents...
