Where I stayed
Salisbury Youth Hostel
Since the only picture from that day is a video of the caterpillar, I decided to include some other random pictures here- three that I forgot to post from Blackpool, and one from the Museum of Witchcraft that got corrupted for some reason while uploading earlier today. EDIT: That one appears to have something wrong with the file itself... I can view it fine, but it won't upload. Sorry!
The day after our visit to Boscastle, nothing much happened- we saw a cute fuzzy caterpillar as we stepped outside to hike to the bus stop, but otherwise the day was just a long series of bus rides carrying us to Salisbury. We'd pondered going to Bath, but it seemed to be very expensive, so we decided on Salisbury instead- still close enough to visit Bath, as well as Stonehenge and the other monuments we intended to see. After we arrived at the youth hostel there, we spent a long time finding a place with wireless internet, finally discovering the King's Head Inn, which not only had wi-fi but also very cheap food. We tried to get a combined Stonehenge/Avebury tour for the next day, but it didn't work out, so in the morning we decided to skip Stonehenge entirely- it was expensive, overly touristy, and from what we heard, you couldn't go anywhere near the site itself. We decided on Avebury instead, as it was bigger, more interesting, and easy to get a non-tour bus to, saving us money while letting us wander the site without having to worry about a tour schedule.
