Travelling with friends Miriam and Jerry on the first leg of our travels, we were all looking forward to landing in Central America.  For Amy, it was a return to a favorite part of the world.  For the rest, it was a major first!  Miriam's uncle, Ralph, owns a hotel in San Juan Del Sur and we were to be their first "family" to visit.

Our flight left out of Seattle at night, so Amy picked up M&J and brought them to our place so the ride to the airport would be shorter and we would have one less car to deal with.  Our shuttle car picked us up on time and we were off.

One of the best parts about our impending journey was that we were flying first class then business class all the way to Managua. It certainly made starting with a red-eye flight more appealing!

We arrived in to Atlanta bright and early and ready for some breakfast.  Eventually settling down in Chilis hidden away in a remote corner of the airport, we enjoyed some decent, hot food and coffee to get us going while we waited for our connection to Managua.  With a relatively short layover, we mostly sat around, tried to wake up, and stared at each other.  :)
