Just a quick one from the Friendship Pass which doubles as the border crossing between China and Vietnam.

Not much really happening here except for the usual scams on both sides of the border. What is it with taxi and rickshaw drivers ? Are they put on Earth to make travelers lives difficult ? God damn them to hell!

Anyway, there was a bright side to this border crossing. We met a lovely couple (Dave and Teresa) who are traveling through SE Asia before settling for an unspecified time in Melbourne. Sadly we couldn't convince them that Sydney is the only place to be in Australia. It was a pretty tall order given Dave is from Melbourne, worth a shot however.

So there you have it, another border crossing for the honeymooners and unfortunately one of the very few we have left.
