Decided to take a tour round the islands. There were about 15 of us each paying about 10 pounds for days trip. The boat had 2 hugh outboard enginnes and was capable of about 30 knots. So we spend to a lagoon where pink dolphins were mating and after a while we managed to get some of them to come to the surface. About an hour was spent on this avtivity and we then headed off to another lagoon where we were encouraged to skuba dive. The water was  clear but not very deep. There were some corals but it did not look that great. I did not see too many fish so I decided to sit this one out and watch the  others thrash about. We were then taken to a small restaurant on stilts . All of this was very remote and very peaceful. I had a spagetti with chicken which was very filling. What I left was thrown into the water. I then had a siesta in a nearby hammock. MY first try at it and I didnīt fall out!!. That was followed by a swim in a private beach. To get to it our boat was moored on one side and we had to walk though a small forest. The reason for no boats going directly to the beach was that this is a conservation area and sea turtles come ashore here to lay their eggs. No turtle sitings but it was a very nice swin in very very warm waters.

We got back to the harbour later that evening. The whole area was full fo mangroves and there were plenty of native indians going about their business in their dugout canoes. I was to spend some time in a village helping out with building and teaching English but the person running it had to go back to the US for family reasons. I was sad to have missed this chance.
