The people here are very eco conscious. Some distance from the city is this natural forest and it cost a pund to go in. It was a hot and steamy the day I was there. I seemed to be the only one around. I saw plenty of different birds but had no idea what they were. there were some terrapins in a pool and I plodded up the hill I saw animals scurrying about. Did not recognise any of them. At the top of the hill there were wonderful views of the city some distance away and in the other directionships waiting to go through the canal.

Thunder had been rumbling all morning and before long there was a hugh downpore. I made a hasty descent and soon the path was awash and I was throughly wet by the time I got back to the ranger station. I stood by the roadside trying to hail a taxi but no one would stop. A very long time later, when the rain had let up a bit, I got a cab back to the hostel. Wet but throughly enjoyable.
