Well, there are supposed to be kangaroos in their natural environment on the island. But after walking out there, the island was closed (all I could think about was National Lampoon's Vacation when Chevy Chase brings up 'what would you do if you went all the way to Florida and it was closed?'). Not sure why - I thought it was maybe for inventory. Someone else said maybe for the fireworks coming in a week. Who knows?

At least it was a nice walk along the river.
