Arrive in KL Sentral, at 6.30 am, the meeting point with my sister, after a very long trip from Doha. I really had nothing to do as most of the shops are still close. I try to wait in the arrival lounge from KLIA and find the best spot to see people arrive from the KLIA express but still able to put all may luggage in a save place. I keep sms ing her where is the meeting point as I keep changing it... it was no where to wait in a comfortable place.
Finally I decided to sit properly and drink some coffee to make me awake at star buck café and hook up with the internet using my pda as this is a hot spot area. And the best part is, it's free!
This is really a very long waiting time, from 6.30 to 12.10 pm. Before finally she arrive. I don't have any energy to get mad at her, there are other factor that make things like this, the cheap airlines as well as the fact that she arrive not in KLIA but LCC, the domestic airport and force to take airport bus instead of the express train that transfer her from the airport to KL Central
Casa embon - some hostel!
I choose this hostel because this is the cheapest and the closest to Bukit Bintang road
Finding addresses in a foreign city.
we need to make a video tape of ourselves to apply for the amazing race asia. We got the address but no idea to go there... thus the best way is just get in to a taxi... but first we need to change some money to local currency... luckily this area was also a tourist spot, thus it's easy to find money changer.
To find a taxi who is willing to bring us to the place was not easy as Petaling Jaya was somewhere out of town and the taxi driver was never sure of the exact location. Good thing that people speak descent English and as an Indonesia, we understand our languages well enough to solve the problem together. The excitement was more on our way back to the city, although we still have something to do but this time we are not tight with time, thus we try to use the "new" KL's public transportation mode, the LRT of "Kelana Jaya"
I fail to meet a friend who supposedly to bring us around to Putra Jaya area, the new government area not far away from KL but needs special transportation to go there as no public transportation connect to this area, or maybe there is but I am relying on my friend to bring us around
Some local food
After trying to find one address to another, finally we try the local food as it's dinner time by now. And as recommended by some friends, who has been to Malaysia, we should try Nasi Lemak and Laksa... the best local food you can find anywhere, even on the side street. We order the food in a hawker place in Jalan Masjid India.
Grrhhh.... Nasi Lemak was not that special, as an Indonesian, we had similar to this kind of food but with different name..., we call it Nasi Uduk, and it was so much better than this Nasi Lemak. As of Laksa, this was the worst food I ever try... I could not even swallow it, it's like eating some sand plus salt...with water...

abandoned
. The last time I went here, this place was the hip place of KL. I understood that this is not an expensive hotel, what I had never expected was that this hostel was so shabby and dark and a bit too filthy to my standard... I remember that book for an end suite, but still not good enough as the bed-sheet's dirty the hanger was almost broken. Bathroom was shared but an old bathroom, with all the dirt and fungus... common room has only one two-seater sofa... well this is not an easy place to relax and recharge my energy after more than two days on the go.
