Well, in the past couple of weeks I've seen Old Faithful the geyser, gone horse-back riding in Canyon, camped on Shadow Mountain for two nights, been to Jackson and Cody, spent 100 dollars at Walmart and eaten a bad sandwich at Subway.
Work is what it is. I hear one question every single day: Could we get a window table? It has slowly started to piss me off. It really has. Can someone's life really depend on having a window table? The view to the Lake Yellowstone is not good in the restaurant. There are trees, and cars going by. At dinner you don't really even see anything, because it's dark out. But no. People must have their window table, otherwise their life is ruined. I wish I could just reply "Look. If you want to see the Lake, go outside."
I went camping at Shadow Mountain on the 3rd and 4th of July. It was the first time I saw Grand Teton National park, and the actual Tetons. The road up to Shadow Mountain was bumpy as hell, and extremely dusty, but it was well worth it. I also went swimming at these cliffs, although I didn't feel like jumping down to the river. I saw the fireworks on 4th of July but they were rather lame. It hadn't been raining for ages so they could only do one at a time.
What else... nothing much I guess. I booked a table for 8 for my birthday, and so far I've "filled" six seats. A lot of people seem to be leaving at the end of July. I'm going back in August. I can't believe I've been here for a month already - at first the time was going so slow, now it's just flying by.
I still want to go white water rafting here, but other than that I just rather see what comes my way. I've done so much stuff in one month that I don't think my life in Finland could ever be that eventful. But it'll be nice to go back to Finland, I have a new puppy waiting for me, and my boyfriend and my family.
