Hello again, my faithful readers. Apologies for the long long silence, but life has been spinning pretty fast on this side of the globe. Right now I believe I've been here around one month - the memories from the first days here seem really distant. The weather is finally getting a bit cooler, which is nice, but the humidity ain't seem to be going anywhere.. damn it! I've caught myself a nice cold. Started developing a sore throat yesterday, and today we have come as far as a running nose. I can hardly wait for the coughing to start! Well, this flu seems to go around the dormitory, since it seems that all of us exchange students are sick.

As I said, the time has feels like it has gone by really fast, although my boyfriend waiting for me in Finland doesn't seem to agree.. ;) Anyways, Christmas this year will probably be one of the best ones so far - my angel is coming here for almost three weeks :) Maybe we even get to go to Tokyo, even though it's sh*t expensive, around 80 US dollars to go one-way with a shinkansen, the bullet train. Then again it takes only about 2 and a half hours from Kyoto to Tokyo, so perhaps it's still our choice.

Thanks for the emails, it's been nice to hear from you all. Too bad I haven't really been able to reply in such a quick pace - I get to use the internet about three four times a week, at school.

Life here has settled pretty well after all the paperwork in the beginning. The people are all very helpful and polite. Last week I couldn't find the bank - two people tried to tell me in Japanese where the bank is, and then eventually a third person escorted me to the bank. The same thing happened when I was having difficulties finding the city hall - I walked into a cellphone shop, and I was escorted to the city hall by one of the workers. I don't think this would happen in Finland!

This week I get to go to a mountain side to admire the autumn leaves and go to hot springs, that ought to be cool. Me, my roommmate Josefine and our tutor and his girlfriend are going.

Anyways, all is well, although flu ain't cool thing to have. Hope y'all are in good health, and have managed to avoid all these colds and flus going around in the autumn time.
