Our Power Princess Katie got stung by a jellyfish this morning.  She ran out of the water, screaming "run Mack, run for your life!"...Mack and Mia ran out, a little dazed.  We rinsed her in the beach side shower, then noticed swelling that looked like she had been whipped on the leg.  I asked a local on the beach what they thought it might be, and they confirmed Jellyfish sting, she was screaming from the burn, but calmed after they applied a gel made especially for jellyfish stings.  We're buying some as soon as the stores open again after 6pm...closed b/w 2-6pm.  She's a real trooper!  Ice cream right after helped soothe the pain...of course, Mack and Mia had some too to support their sister!  If I forgot, Mia likes to be called "Princess Shubalaka", or "Shubalaka" for short!

Today, I'm able to write an entry thanks to an ice cream sundae the girls are having.  They entertain the store keeper, he knows our life story now!

We bought cold cuts, Dutch cheese (we were thinking of you Lovie), and the best fresh bread, then got lebanese cucumbers and tomatoes...ate at the playground, then Sof and I had a cold Frappe coffee...we're off to the hot Springs of Eftalou to end the day in style...and to heal Katie's leg.  Sof is a little exhausted by our pace, I wake her up at the same time as me now, and we really fill our days...guess she'll rest in the plane!

Mia is so excited that the countdown to Daddy's arrival is showing less fingers everyday!  She noticed that there were 8 fingers yesterday, 7 today...she's so excited!

Dear girls, I'm so excited for you too!!!! Mia, 7 fingers, that was on the 1st, we're the 3rd, wow, are we on one hand now?!!!! I have tears in my eyes, I can't wait, I could just IMAGINE how you feel Mylene. I could just imagine how the kids feel...wow. I wish I was a fly on the wall that day. I'll be thinking of you all!

You guys continue to amaze me! Mack , Katie and Mia you are making Greece sound so incredible that Jason and PJ can't wait to go themselves. (all except for the jellyfish). An inspiration to us all. Mylene, we are going to our not back to school picnic this afternoon (our first homeschooling event!) we'll talk when you get back! I know your next beach adventure is sure to be jellyfish free! Yeah for jellyfish gels and ice cream remedies and great support from Mom, the friendly locals and, of course, Princess Shubalaka and Mighty Mack. My mouth waters when I read of your culinary delights. Thanks for keeping us so involved in all your wonderful family adventures. And now Mia's down to counting the fingers on one hand only in anticipation of Daan's arrival. How wonderful for all of you!!! You all so richly deserve this beautiful time together. Enjoy!!!! Can't wait to hear about it!

Poor Katie
Hope Katie's recovery is going well. We, too, are in recovery mode after a wonderful (but exhausting)wedding. Thanks for the Nordik idea Mylene -- it was perfect. Hugs to you all!
