We found a beach close to us with a large floating dock, so Mack, Katie and Mia spent most of the day running off the end!
The sun shines every day, and we're always finding cute spots and towns tucked away right under our noses. We're planning to walk through Petra after this, and going home to have a large salad with fresh tomatoes, lemon juice, the best olive oil, feta from Madamos, and crispy parsley. We'll make shells with butter for the children as well! Easy and yummy! We bought local walnuts yesterday, amazing!
The owner of our house has a large garden planted on the property, and he gave us a small watermelon, and a honeydew...we had them as a beach snack, the best!
I may not be posting any more, since we'll be spendingthe next few days before Sophie leaves relaxing on our favourite beaches.

We just came back from an wonderful 11 day canoe-camping trip in Algonquin! The kids were amazing campers!

Thursday was our last day on the beach in Tel Aviv before we flew back home, so I'm only now reading your delightful post. I miss those lazy days already. It sounds heavenly, what you and the children have created. Yeah, Mylene! As I grapple with the emotional and logistical hurdles of enrolling my children in a different school system this year I think of the continuity and stability you have created for yours through the more creative and friendly alternative, home schooling. Mylene, you inspire me and teach me so much. Thanks, friend. Please say hi to Daan (soon! soon!) and to the kids from me. Love, Jill
