Another Dream Come True

We left camp at dark, and arrived at our launch sight by 5am. The sun was beginning to rise over the Serengeti and our balloon was just starting to inflate. As it turns out, we were about to embark on our adventure, in the worlds largest balloon. This massive girl, holds 16 people and in one of a kind. Despite all of these interesting facts, our pilot still managed to hit 3 trees. Fortunately, due to our girth we managed to stay right side up. Don't worry Mom, we were attached with 3 Carabiners, and it was only the top of the tree :)
We spent the first hour gently gliding over the plains, sneaking up on animals
After an hour, it was time to land. Our pilot gently placed us down near the road. Our basket gently kissed the plains of the Serengeti and we smiled with relief. Then....we bounced and came down with all the might of the worlds largest balloon. I was at the bottom, and felt the impact through my rear end and back. Just at that moment the elderly women aboard began to scream with fright and we began to laugh until our eyes filled with tears. At this point we bounced again, and finally smashed into the ground a 4th and final time. After our final smash, we were dragged nearly 100 + feet across the plains, with Serengeti grass and dirt smashing into our faces.
When it was all said and done, I had the Serengeti plains in my mouth, hair and eyes, but I was smiling and laughing the entire time. I wish I could say the same for the older gals in our balloon. I think they forgot to mention that part in the brochure.
After our ride, we had a wonderful english breakfast in the plains.
