Hot springs, Caves, Tigers and Silk OH MY!!

Hot Springs - Kamphaeng
We traveled 1hr east of Chiang Mai, through the mountains and discovered Kamphaeng. Kamphaeng is a natural hot source snuggle in the mountain side. Before entering, Joe (our driver) suggested that we buy fresh market eggs. We were a little confused at first, but quickly discovered the local tradition. Locals buy fresh eggs and hard boil them in the hot springs for breakfast, so we did exactly that
Muang -On Caves
The caves were defiantly off the gringo path. They were well hidden, down a dirt road, up the mountain and then down again. I would not recommend this activity for any one that gets claustrophobic, because its a tight squeeze. We climbed down into the caves and discovered Dinosaur bones, and many shrines. The caves are actually a place of worship for the local Buddhists.
After a beautiful morning off the beaten track, we jumped straight into the standard tourist traps. The Tiger Kingdom!!! We payed our entrance fee and had 15 Min's each with a 2-7 month of tiger. It was pretty intimidating but a great life experience.
We asked Joe to take us to the silk factory, unlike the night markets (its the real thing)
Joe made our Chaing Mai experience wonderful. Unlike the taxi drivers in Bangkok, he is honest, hard working and I would strongly recommend him to any fellow travelers.
