Where I stayed
While in Puno we explored the city by foot and mototaxi, we indulged in Guinea Pig, Alpaca and plenty of local beer. We also managed to catch a local rally and a few sunsets.
Enjoy the photos
It took us 4 flights, 1 bus and 38 hrs to arrive in Puno....but we managed. We decided to head straight for the Lake and use Puno as a launching point to visit the Islands. Puno is a Region, Province and city that is rich in Culture and Folklore. It's also at 12,500ft ASL and take some time to acclimatize. We decided to take our altitude meds (3 days) and take it fairly slow for the first few days. Fortunately, we have no issues and were back to normal within days.
