After nearly two weeks of Spanish school and city life it was time for a break. We decided to take advantage of our free weekend and headed away from the cement playground, traffic and polluted air of Bueno Aires. One hour up the Rio Del Plate is a sweet, tranquil, riverside town nestled in the Delta. A short hop on the Coastal train and 1.90 Pesos ( less than a dollar return) and we were there.
Tigre´s waterways offer a glimpse at the simple coastal Argentinean life. The canal system is the only means of transport and offers a peaceful surrounding of reedy shores, row boats and kayaks.
Before returning to the busy city we treated ourselves to a traditions meal of Chicken, Steak, Sausage, Intestine, Kidney and the rest is still up for discussion.
special thanks to Jeff "the Tex" for taking our pictures!
