TABLE ROCK
My first location as a Survey Pilot is in Niagara Falls NY, just across the river from my home town of Niagara Falls, Ontario.
Now, Table Rock is amazing. Something even a local girl can appreciate after years of visiting and dragging friends to see a world wonder. It you drive along the Niagara Parkway you will find a small stone building called Table Rock that is situated at the base of the Falls. Once you are inside and have purchased a ticket you descend to the bottom of Niagara Falls in an elevator. The system was blasted out years ago and the original tunnels under the falls still exist. There is s series that you walk through and come out directly underneath the Falls. If you stay left it takes you to an open platform just beside the Canadian Horsshoe Falls ( THE BEST PART)
The Canadian Horshoe Falls are 2600ft long and drop 167ft. The average water flow is 600,000US Gallons per/Sec. If you look across from the Table rock platform you will see Niagara Falls NY and the American Falls. They are almost as breathtaking and stand 176ft high and 1060 wide with an average flow of 150,000Us Gallons/sec.
