The tenth planet in the solar system is the Namibian sand dunes. I went quad biking yesterday and had the MOST INCREDIBLE EXPERIENCE EVER!! It was like the high of bungee jumping prolonged for two hours!! I LOVED, LOVED, LOVED, absolutely LOVED it!! As if the adrenaline rush of biking wasn't enough, the views were out of this world! The sand dunes continued on and on and was like what I would imagine the moon to be like; a completely mind blowing experience that I will never forget!

The sand boarding was not as spectacular. I did enjoy it is very similar to snowboarding but very difficult to navigate given the sand and the most deplorable snow boarding equipment ever. What was also difficult was that we had to walk up the sand dune and that was very, very challenging. The lay down version was really fun though...even if it was a tad scary at first but as always, once you let go, the fun begins!

Thanks to my sister-in-law Jeanette, I got the thumbs up from the doctor to do bungee jumping in Victoria Falls. I am not entirely certain I will do it as I do want to go white water rafting really bad. I will definitely keep you posted.

We have been staying in the Dunes backpackers lodge for the last two days and it has been really nice sleeping in a bed (bunk with ten others so its not all that!) and having warm water. In two hours, we will be going to our next destination 170km away: Spitzkoppe. There will be no running water there which will be a preview of the Okavango Delta where there will be no running water for three entire days! Imagine that, a very stinky Pati!

I just tried calling mom and dad but I am sure they were asleep! Our days have been jammed packed and I have not had a chance to call them at a decent hour! I miss you all!
