Well we took off today very early (6AM) for our journey south. Surprisingly, Gail was up and ready to go before I was. As we pulled away from Lake in Wood the sky's started to bless us with a down-pour and I was hoping this was not a showing of things to come.

As we passed through PA and into Maryland the rains continued but we were making good time and everything was going smooth. Soon we were entering West Virginia and then Virginia. The rain was off and on, hard at times but better then the ice and winds that are being called for on Monday.

As we started East towards I95 going over the mountains a heavy fog rolled in and we were in some real thick stuff. Up the mountain we climbed, seeing only 10 feet in front of us. Before we knew it we were descending down the other side and all was well. Now we needed a rest and low and behold, 1 mile ahead was the long awaited rest area. Pulling in and parking with the "big rigs" we took Baxter for a long over due walk and Harry went in the trailer to visit his box. With all parties relieved, off we started down the road.

After 2-3 more fuel stops we arrived at our overnight  location. Fayetteville NC. we opted after weeks of research to stay at the Fayetteville KOA right of the exit on I95. This proved to be a great choice. The park is 3/4 of a mile off the highway and the check in and drive to the site was very easy. Our site proved to be just as good as the check-in process and we were set up and settling in no time.

Now brings the options for Mondays journey. Do we stay here 1 more day and explore this area? Do we hit the road and do the 3 more hours we have left and get to the beach early? Who knows and for that matter who cares, we don't. Life is proving to be very enjoyable hauling our home on the back of the truck. Here today there tomorrow. Life is as always, very good.
