Where I stayed
I spent my first night in France in a town called Dinan, in Brittany or Bretagne, as they call it. It's a medieval walled city, with Creperies every other storefront. Pretty cool town but as I'm learning Hostels in France suck
The last two nights I spent in Bayeux, Normandy. It was pretty much the only town not destroyed following the D-Day invasion. I splurged on a Bed & Breakfast and rented a bike and rode it to Omaha Beach and the American Cemetery and memorial. It's a beautiful beach really, hard to believe what actually happened there 65 years ago. People in Normandy are especially friendly to Americans, I'm not so sure that's the same as I've gone south.
-Irish people are really friendly, they are like how Americans should be.
-French people get a bad rap, they might come across as rude in passing but are helpful and friendly in real interactions.
-French people don't stink, but most Irish men are unbearable to be in a room with.
-French people almost always walk around carrying baguettes.
I'd love to post some pics and fill in some extra places but France is still in the stone age technologically (as well as in regards to modern toilettes). I cant find anywhere to upload them from.
I need to start looking for a place to stay tonight or figure out if there is a train leaving tonight.
