We stayed at Tej Marhaba in Sousse in a big apartment.
We had taken this trip with a plane from a travel company , but had arranged the apartment our self directly to the hotel.
The apartment block is in a segment for it self nearer the beach and the main road, but since we knew the area from several stays there we knew what to expect.
The main purpose of this trip was a week in the Sun
But we also took a day trip to Matmata where some of the Star Wars movies is made
To get there we started early one morning and took the train to Gabes then we took a lounge(minibus) to Matmata where the stood a guide and asked if we wanted him to show us around.
Yes, of course we wanted that and we went around and looked at a Berber Cave where we talked to a old lady who lived there and got tea ans some bread, and she told us she lived there, but I suspect it was mainly for the tourist and that she lived in a normal house beside.
We then went into the Matmata Star Wars hotel and got something to drink and then back to the Lounge who had been waiting for us to return.
Back to Gabes we should wait until late evening to get the train back to Sousse, and after looking around for some place to eat, which we couldnīt because this was under the Ramadan and they didnīt want to serve any food in the daylight, so we decide to try to get a Lounge back to Sousse instead .
We found one and he was happy and so was we as we where 5 people we where the only one there.
Nice trip home and faster then the train, after the sun went down he did a break and we got some cookies and some coffee . We saw a lot of red hot chili hanging on the houses to dry very fascinating thing to see.
We paid 100 dinar for the trip with the Lounge home and we also gave him our return tickets to the train.
It was a nice day and we found out that the next time we would go on a trip like that , we would use a Lounge instead of train.
