Gourmet Dining at the End of the Earth

His view of the day:
We find ourselves at Port du Fret outside of Crozon, Brittany...damn near as far West as France goes. It was a long day from Saint Malo and is a long day from most anywhere. Two memories to record:
- Never have I seen such a concentration of sailing vessels, from sailboards to very large yachts. The locals are right into it, and it isn't easy because of the massive tides.
- Food, glorious food. We chose our "hostellerie" due to the reputation of the restaurant, which they promote as "gourmet dining at the end of the earth" and it was; oh! it was!
Her take on the day's events:
It was raining for much of the day so no real incentive to explore too far away from the car
We took an aperitif in the riverside bar and watched all of the new arrivals like us walk along the quiet quay. Most of them ended up in the restaurant with us later in the evening. What a meal!
We had been working through the list of food specialities of Brittany - oysters, crabs, fish, cheeses (locally produced goat cheese and Cure Nantais, a wine refined soft cow's milk cheese) and Kouign-aman (a slowly produced caramelised tart pastry - delicious with salted caramel ice cream). We had not expected to cross off all of these at one sitting. It left us wondering what breakfast might offer.
