Yesterday I visited Buckingham Palace to watch the Changing of the Guard and visit the Royal Mews. I randomly met two other Canadian girls in front of the palace gates. Next was Kensington Palace, where I got to see four of Princess Diana's dresses and some of Queen Victoria's rooms. At supper I met a girl from Melbourne and I spent the evening at Her Majesty's Theatre watching The Phantom of the Opera.

Today I saw the Queen! The State Opening of Parliament was this morning and there was a parade down Whitehall Street to the Parliament Buildings. I also visited the National Portrait Gallery and the Tower of London. The Tower was pretty cool. It's actually an official palace; apart from housing prisoners, it's also been home to some of Britain's monarchs over the centuries.
