Total Miles Driven Trip: 1476

Today could be characterized by hmmm... meandering (mee-an-dur-ing).  With word from the border that we will not cross until Monday, we were not as pressed to move as quickly today. We enjoyed a morning with our hosts at their business "Premiere Designs" where they let us pick some really cool stuff for our family.   We finally left around noon and headed south. It wasn't long before we were in bumper to bumper traffic. After an hour we broke free. Near Waco, TX we stopped at for food and fuel. We visited some outlets nearby as well.
As night caught us, we knew Brownsville was not achievable tonight so we agreed to make it to San Antonio.  The border officials have informed us that they will be there Sunday. We need to be in Brownsville by early tomorrow afternoon to begin inspection.   So tonight it's to sleep in the Rodeway Inn in San Antonio!

Today's QT: Isaiah 29:13   I'm all a mess over this verse. The last phrase has me paralyzed not only about the church as a whole or even my life personally. What about how I've taught as a youth pastor.  What if our youth fear God or have great awe of him simply because I've said to.  I know it's more complicated than that but oh...   "their fear of Me is from a commandment taught by man" WOW! that is powerful.   I need this trip...this time to truly reflect on why it is I worship God.  Is it because I am "supposed" too or is it truly in response to who He is? I know what it should be and this has opened my eyes and heart to inspect my motives.   Man this is a great verse. What is even cooler is the next one because it is who God is.  I just have to come to grips with the depth of 13 first.
