Hi all

I fly out in 2 weeks. I can't believe it. When I booked the flight months ago I remember looking at the ticket in my hand (well the receipt anyway, only just got the ticket) and thinking that I had so long to go, way too long to be thinking about how I'm going to get to Heathrow at for a 630am Sunday flight, and the fact that I'll be dressed inappropriately to make it to the airport in warmth on that chilly Sunday morning. I'm going to India for god's sake, I won't need my woolly jacket anymore! Maybe I'll bless it to a homeless person outside the airport...

So, I'm about to turn my life upside down and shake the bejesus out of it. I'm ready to go home now, or at least start the journey. It has just dawned on me that I'm leaving soon and I'm developing a feeling that's manifesting into something pretty scary yet exciting. The butterflies are growing as the day gets nearer.

Saying goodbye to all you guys that I've made friends with over the time I've lived here will be the hard part. Finding that bum to donate my jacket to outside Heathrow international will be easy.

Anyway, I'm jumping on a one way flight to Sri Lanka on the 28th Nov. The plan is to spend about 6 weeks in Sri Lanka, and then from there fly to the Maldives in early January where I've organised a dive cruise for a week. After this, India! Back to the roots on my dads side, curry in a hurry, imodium in a dash and whatever else I can get up to. From India I'll head into Nepal, then the rest is...well...you'll just have to keep up to find out!

So, thanks to my friends here for having me and putting up with me, it has been an amazing part of my always unconventional life. And mum, your son IS coming home!

I'll next give you an update in Sri Lanka somewhere...
