Settle down. I know you're very excited about the sheep shearing world record being broken yesterday. I'm sure it's all over the newspapers. I'll get to that in a bit.

Let's see, I think I last updated in Seacliff. The last day there was interesting. I demolished a couple of walls on the jail (just like at home). The bar doors for those cells were very heavy too. I found a few things inside the walls, but still haven't been able to look at them. I went boogie boarding with Jenny, Emma, Swedish Girl #3, and Steve. That was a lot of fun except for all of the seaweed.

I moved on to Dunedin for one night where I essentially did nothing. I saw Ocean's Twelve. That could've waited. The next day I headed to Surat Bay to stay the night. I've been there before. It's on the other side of Cannibal Bay. There were six male Hooker's sea lions on the beach fighting. That was interesting to watch. I came pretty close to being chased again. Surat Bay is where I was chased by those birds a few months back. In town (Owaka) I ran into Steve, who I met in Seacliff. He's from Boulder and biking through the Catlins at the moment.

Yesterday I made it to Curio Bay and went into a hostel, but left about an hour later when I realized that I just didn't want to be there. I kept driving and made it to Invers, where I am now. I'm killing time until the guy I'm going to walk Dusky with comes back from Stewart Island. I don't know that we'll be doing Dusky because of the recent rain, but I'll be sticking around to find out. Until then I'll just have to chill at the beach if the weather is decent. Worst NZ summer in 60 years. Why me? hehe

I just noticed, they finally got the guest book up and running so you can leave notes for me if you want on here.

(for any news relating to the sheep shearing, check any NZ newspaper that has nothing better to report)
