Well I've made it to Queenstown and I'm quite glad. I decided to stay at the Southern Laughter hostel (only because I had previously called about a job and it looked to be in a good position). The bus ride to Queenstown was not fun. I felt sick much of the time for some reason.

I made it to Queenstown and made it into my room which (as I was warned in Christchurch) was far too small. I threw my things down and ended up just sitting around most of the night watching tv and talking with Amanda and Jenny (the Aussies), Phil (the German), and Stefan (the Swiss). I wouldn't meet Matt until the next day (the Englishman).
The next day I hiked up Queenstown Hill (or so we think that's it's name) which took about an hour and a half. Once I got up there I knew I'd be taking the Gondola down. From up there you can do the Luge, Canyon Swing, Bungy, or Paragliding Before the Race

 . One magic tourist filled hill. hehe. I just walked around a bit and took a few pictures. That night we all went out and met up with Owen (the Welshman). We had a good time and ended up at Fergburger at the end of the night (this little alley restaurant) where I was forced to get the "bun Laden". hehe. IDC

The next day we did nothing. We sat around. Tried to sell some skis which were left behind.

Yesterday was possibly the best day though. Phil, Matt, and I headed up to The Remarks where they wanted to snowboard. At first I almost said "no" so I could stick around and do some wash. So we all headed up the mountain. I was planning on just walking around and climbing whatever I felt like and also checking out Stefan in the race. There was a snowboard competition that he was racing in all day and I basically ended up catching the Finals. So this day offered me my first mountain, ski lift, Kea (a parrot here), and view from up high I suppose. It really was just awesome walking around. However I'm told that The Remarkables don't even stand up to European mountains (but I'm from Wisconsin). And I wanted to stay home and do wash.

haha, we made it just fine.

Today we headed out to AJ Hackett to watch Phil do his bungy jump. After being the "American photography crew" for the snowboarders on The Remarks, Matt joined me on the platforms to watch and record. Sadly I was unable to get the actual jump (I don't know what happen), but we did get a lot of good shots and video. For today that was really it. I'm here at least until Sunday (if not longer) so I'm out for now. Hopefully I can get a lot of pictures up because this area is a really awesome.
