This has been a busy week. I gave notice at my job and my last day of work for the next 18 months or so will be July 27th. Sad, scary, exciting. My coworkers were pretty shocked and were not expecting this. Maybe I'm a little shocked as well that I would do such a crazy thing.

Then I got in touch with a realtor about selling the house and spent the next week cleaning six years of accumulated dirt. I think I vaccuumed up enough fur to equal three cats. But the place is now nice and presentable for potential buyers-I hate it.

Gregor and I took a day off to enjoy one of the tourist attractions of Glenwood Springs, we went on a wild cave tour at the Glenwood Caverns. I was unsure what to expect except that it would last for 3 hours. We were told to wear pants and a long sleeve shirt that could be ruined and they weren't kidding. The guide took us to an undeveloped area of the cave where we squeezed through holes, around crevices, and under slabs of rock until we were filthy dirty. It was amazing and I highly recommend it to anyone traveling to this area.

After emerging from the the cave, we were heading back to change back into our street clothes, and were shocked to see a huge plume of smoke rising from the west where we live in New Castle. The fire ended up being south of town on the other side of the Colorado river, nowhere near our house, and was possibly started by an irresponsible cigarette butt. Don't you just hate those things randomly causing trouble all the time all by themselves. It was on private land and continued to burned for a few days before running out of steam. That is one thing that I will not miss when I move back to Texas- the constant threat of wildfires in Colorado.
