There was a house that claimed the summit of the mountain, so I decided to turn around and head back down. Just then, I heard someone yelling "Hello!" and I turned and saw a man beckoning me to climb up the mountain. Anyways, I walked up there and took in a very nice view with the owner and his buddy who were taking a smoke break. Not bad for a day that didn't have any plans eh?
So the valuable lesson I learned from today was that when you are traveling and plans get cancelled or delayed, just start walking. Something memorable will happen. I feel like this blog entry should be a Hallmark card or something, I need to do something a little less..
Oh I know, we had a design problem a few days ago. We had to find something around Istanbul that we felt was inadequately designed and then redesign it. Mike picked public restrooms and after presenting his project Ben said, "Well, I am glad that you didn't design your bathroom with stereotypical middle-eastern architecture. Like a mosque looking bathroom."
I then quipped, "Well, hey, then instead of the prayer call you could have the nature call!"
Ya, that is how I roll.
