There is not much that I want to say about this place. It was a blur because I was tired from being on the road so much. This is a film town where the most recognized is Lawrence of Arabia.

We did visit the renovated Kasbah Taourirt. It supposed to belong to a wealthy merchant who had 4 wives. Each wife had a tower (with lookout) on each corner of the kasbah. The favourite wife (I don't remember how this was determined) had the most elaborate room. Photos of that room will be titled as "# Favoured Wife".

Another great experience was having a French, gourmet feast for lunch ... a nice break from tajines. This restaurant run by a French chef, who is a retired Foreign Legion pilot, is in the middle of no where - and so worth the trip. Every course was mouth-watering and the piece-de-resistance was the freshly made profiteroles covered with warm belgian chocolate sauce ... yum!

We spent the night at a nice hotel across from the famed Kasbah of Ait Benhaddou. I was too exhausted to tour this UNESCO World Heritage Site, but the sunset on this clay city made for a great photo. The site is featured in the films Romancing the Stone & Gladiator.
