Senior Year Spring Break (Part 1)
Entry 2 of 3 | show all | print this entry |
For my Senior Year Spring Break I took my second trip to Europe. First I was in Duesseldorf with Jacek and then we took a trip to Paris. We rented a nice sweet hotel, close to the downtown and public transportation area, and went sight-seeing. Now I'm not much one for sight-seeing, but then in Paris you kinda have to see everything just because it's all so popular.
The traffic there is insane, I have never been so scared in my life, and I wasn't even the one driving. There is just so much chaos! Then we made our way along to all of the following places: Place de la Bastille, Place de la Concorde, Sacré Coeur (big white church up on the hill), Musée d'Orsay (castle on the water), Notre Dame (i touched the wall!!), Arc de Triomphe (I thought we could drive under it, but you just drive around it), AND OF COARSE the Eiffel Tower (we even went at night it was so romantic).
My favorite part of all was dining and the cafes. We also went to many parks and just sat on benches, or walked the streets at night. It was an amazing trip that ended with a hole in our pockets, and a dented car. Jacek pulled out of the parking spot and didn't notice a car coming at us. Ah, insurance got the bill. :)
I would definitely recommend seeing this city once in your life. And yes, it was very romantic.
