No really, it's way cooler.

When I first decided to go "backpacking" through Europe, I knew the backpack itself would be the most crucial piece in preparing for a successful trip. I did my research and was excited when I ordered the Eagle Creek Rincon Vita 75L. Sounds like a pretty sweet bag, right?

The day it arrived, I felt like my trip to Europe was finally a reality. I had a backpack which meant I was officially a backpacker.
As I opened the box to reveal the bag that would hold my entire life, I was struck by how many straps and buckles there were. This bag was serious business.

It was time to strap it on and see how cool I was going to look walking around the streets of Paris with my Rincon Vita.

Oh wow, this is pretty heavy. Geez, what is it going to be like what I put all my stuff in here.

Don't think about that, you are a backpacker now. You need to suck it up.

Maybe I should start lifting weights...this is so heavy.

What are all these straps for?

Do I have this on right? It doesn't feel right.

This thing is huge! What the heck does this cord do?!

Is the top of it really supposed to come up above my head??

This is not my bag! This is not my bag!!!!

It was a traumatic few seconds when I discovered the bag would just not work. But really, what I was thinking ordering a backpack? I ride the train everyday with idiots who oblivously knock into people with their bag. Did I really want to be that dumb American girl taking everyone out with my big bag. Certaintly not.

So after $40 in return shipping fees, I was free of the monstresity known as the the Rincon Vita and was no longer telling people I was "backpacking." It seemed I would now be "roller-bagging" my way through Europe.

That is unless some genius invented a roller-bag that also doubled as a duffle bag AND a backpack. Could it be true? Could there be such a bag? And would that bag also be available on Overstock for only $69.99! Say it isn't so.

The CalPak Front Runner 20-inch Utility Carry-on is the coolest bag out there for sure. The bag is awesome. Not only do I have numerous options on how to cart the thing around, it also has all these amazing pockets and storage spaces. I still haven't figured out how to fit everything I need for 10 weeks into a carry-on sized bag, but I do know one thing: This IS my bag.

I've heard of rockets with less threatening names than the 'Eagle Creek Rincon Vita 75L' and the 'CalPak Front Runner 20-inch Utility Carry-on'.

Good choice with the rolly, you don't want to have to wear that thing all the time.
