ONCE, ONCE I WOULD HAVE LAID DOWN AND DIED FOR YOU

Week started off good, I got my iPod back! The toe-rags that stole it were not very clever! They let my Brazilian friend take photos of them and they were wearing their uniform of the hairdressing school that they worked at, so I went down there first thing with the photo and demanded to see the school principle. I was very calm and collected, so much so that the Brazilian guy was really scared of me and thought that I was going to snap! But I didn't, I was very impressed with myself! Then I demanded to see the girls. Only one of them was in school that day so she came to the office and the look on her face when she saw us was priceless! I told her I didn't care what she had to say but she had one hour to get me my iPod back before the police, parents and the whole school and street knew what she had done. I then left and one hour later I had my iPod back in my hand! Job done, end of story. Now all I need is to find the bloke who took my watch and camera!

Next day was another get tango lesson and party followed by a late night / early morning Argentina party with lots of Cuba Libre cocktails and Latino dancing!

Then it was on to Christmas in the Park. A huge free concert with lots of top New Zealand bands, funfair, junk food, Santa hats and Christmas carols, all in the local park in the summertime heat! It's still so wrong! They switched on the Christmas tree lights but it was still bright out so you couldn't really see it! But, as if they knew I was missing the traditional Irish winter and Christmas time, they switched on the rain for me and we were all drowned! Ah, I miss home!

The rest of the week was spend under the fluorescent glow of various Internet cafe lights trying to book accommodation for Melbourne, New York and Brazil, I achieved none of this so I am thinking my next adventure will be to find the most comfortable park bench in each of these places!

The highlight of my week however, was going to see an Irish movie called ONCE!!! It is amazing! everybody needs to go and see this movie! It is a gem of a film. It is magical! The music in it is amazing and heartfelt and I spend the whole movie with goosebumps it was so touching! Anyways, I'll let you all make up your own minds about it, but please try and see it, you will not regret it!
